MORE Collective is a space to share in creative services, mentorship,
curated events + community.
It’s a channel to celebrate small-scale growth, inspire + uplift, ask questions, and dispel the notion that perceived “success” defines our capacity as creatives.
Collaboration
Over
Competition.

People say not to work with your friends, but like most sayings where no one actually knows the author we figured we’d take it with a grain of salt. When you’ve been friends for 20+ years, there’s not much you can’t navigate. From growing up together to working part-time jobs, to marketing international food & beverage brands, we have seen success when we’ve come together. After the pandemic hit it became more important than ever for us to find our wider community of women and individuals who were interested in networking + collaborating. We knew we wanted MORE.

As someone who’s worked both on teams and solo freelancing, the opportunity to collaborate has always been important and fulfilling. This platform is a portal to meet new people in Toronto with similar interests and goals. It’s all about making real, meaningful, and lasting connections. MORE was created to satisfy that need for more opportunities, collaborations, and community. To show off our own successes and celebrate others.

During and even “post” pandemic I became to feel like I’d been isolated in my creativity. Once I was able to identify that what I was missing was a community, I was determined to join a collective that was dynamic but also accessible – which for me meant based in Toronto and not behind some crazy expensive paywall. So, I tried attending women’s events, Zoom seminars and even joined some Facebook groups. Just shy of giving over my credit card info for a $2,000 networking group membership, the words of the great Latin-American female poet JLo came to me, and she said, “Love Don’t Cost a Thing Cami B”. I decided from there that I could call up my girl Angie and we would host our first networking event. Lucky for me she was IN.

I’ve truly enjoyed being part of the MORE Collective community. Their events helped me connect with other professionals and were also super fun! I’ve received useful advice, info + was able to share my services. Thank you for creating such a welcoming, informative and fun place for us! 🤩
